About Our Kid’s Ministry

Berean Kids is a Christ-centered ministry for children from birth through grade 5, where kids can discover who God is, grow in His Word, and begin to follow Jesus for themselves. We believe faith takes root when the church and home work together, so we come alongside families with Sunday and midweek opportunities, resources, and support to help parents nurture their child’s faith.

Our desire is simple: to help kids know they are loved by God, know His Word, and grow into lifelong followers of Jesus.

Berean Kid’s Worship

Sundays

Sundays | 9:30 & 11 AM | Birth–Grade 5

Sundays are an important part of helping kids build a lasting faith. In age-specific environments, kids have a place to learn, worship, ask questions, build friendships, and grow in their relationship with Jesus. Caring leaders help them experience God’s Word in ways that are relevant and age-appropriate. From September through July, we journey through the entire Bible, helping kids see the bigger story of Scripture and how it all points to Jesus as our Rescuer and Redeemer.

Wednesday Nights

Wednesdays | 6:30–8 PM | Grades K–5

Wednesday nights give kids in kindergarten through grade 5 another opportunity to grow in their faith and build a deeper understanding of God’s Word. Through Bible lessons, Scripture memory, small-group activities, and games, kids learn how God’s truth connects to everyday life. It’s a place to have fun, build friendships, and take another step in following Jesus.

What to Expect

  • Arrival

We recommend arriving 15 minutes before the service so we can help you check in, show you the kids’ area, and introduce you to your child’s classroom leaders.

You can register your child ahead of time to make check-in easier when you arrive.

    Register Your Child

  • Check-In & Security

At the Berean Kids check-in desk, kids receive name badges with security codes and parents receive pickup tags with matching codes. Everyone who works with kids has been interviewed and passed a background check.

  • Well-Child Policy

Please refrain from bringing your child if they have had any of the following symptoms within the past 24 hours: diarrhea, vomiting, 100+ degree fever, rash, or non-clear runny nose, or if they have been on antibiotics for less than 24 hours.

  • Food & Snacks

Berean Kids does not provide or allow snacks for any of our classes. Children are welcome to bring their water bottle from home.

  • Personal Possessions

We encourage kids to bring a Bible. Please leave toys, cellphones, and other distractions at home.

  • Contacting You

If we need to reach you for any reason after check-in, we’ll send you a text.

  • Photography

Berean periodically captures video or photographs of the “life of Berean,” including children’s programming, worship areas, hallways, and commons areas. Berean may publish videos or photographs in which your child(ren) may appear with or without their name for lawful purposes such as publicity, illustration, advertising, social media, and website content. If you have concerns and do not wish to have your child(ren) included in photos or videos, please contact Berean Communications at communications@bereanbaptist.com.

Child Dedication & Kids’ Baptism

Dedication

Child Dedication, often done within a child’s first 18 months of life, is an opportunity for families to publicly dedicate their child to the Lord before the church body, family, and friends. Through Child Dedication, parents acknowledge their dependence on God and their church family as they raise their children to know and follow Jesus. Parents commit to being their child’s primary spiritual leaders, while the church family commits to coming alongside them with encouragement and support.

LEARN ABOUT CHILD DEDICATION

Kids’ Baptism

Baptism is a public declaration of faith in Jesus for those who have responded to the gospel with faith and repentance. If your child is ready to take this step, we’re here to help you walk through it together. You’ll have an opportunity to talk with your child about the gospel, help them write their testimony, and meet with a church leader to affirm their faith and talk through any questions you may have.
